What is $NPRO and how does it unlock premium features?
NPRO is the utility token of NEAR Mobile. It unlocks premium wallet features like price alerts, cashback, and advanced DeFi functionality based on your tier.
How do I earn $NPRO?
The primary way to earn NPRO is by staking NEAR through NEAR Mobile—you retain full access to your funds while earning rewards. Additional tokens can be earned by completing missions and referring friends, but staking remains the main path to participation. No presale, no insiders.
Can I buy $NPRO instead of staking?
Yes. You can buy $NPRO directly inside the NEAR Mobile app, and it is also available on Rhea Finance and NEAR Intents.
Buying $NPRO is the fastest way to upgrade your tier instantly, while staking provides a steady way to earn more over time.
How does staking NEAR work?
When you stake NEAR with the NEAR Mobile Validator, your funds always remain yours.
Staking simply locks your NEAR temporarily so it can generate rewards — you can unstake it at any time following NEAR’s standard unstaking period. You never lose access or ownership of your assets.
Are $NPRO premium tiers free?
Premium tiers don’t require monthly payments — instead, you unlock them by locking $NPRO inside your wallet.
You keep full ownership of your tokens:
You do not spend $NPRO
You can unlock premium features as long as your $NPRO stays locked
You can unlock your tokens again after the lock period
You benefit from holding an asset that may appreciate as the ecosystem grows
This model is designed to reward users, not charge them recurring fees.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade my tier?
When you upgrade to Ambassador or Premium, your $NPRO is locked for 30 days.
After that, you are free to downgrade at any time.
If you downgrade:
You lose access to premium features
Additional accounts remain in your wallet, but can’t be managed until you upgrade again
You can still back up all accounts
We recommend moving tokens back to your main account before downgrading so nothing becomes temporarily inaccessible
