As NEAR Mobile continues to grow, we're constantly evaluating how to deliver the best experience for our users while ensuring that our membership program remains simple, valuable, and sustainable for the long term.
Today, we're announcing an update to our membership system that simplifies the experience, expands free features for all users, and strengthens the long-term utility of $NPRO.
What's changing?
Starting on July 20th, NEAR Mobile will move from three membership tiers to two:
- Basic
- Premium
Basic (Free)
Basic becomes more powerful than ever.
All users will now receive:
- Up to 2 wallets
- Investor Info access
- Price change notifications
- Standard swap fees (0.88%)
- Standard staking fees (5%)
No NPRO required.
Our goal is to make the core NEAR Mobile experience accessible to everyone while continuing to deliver a great free wallet for the entire community.
Premium
Premium remains focused on power users and long-term supporters.
New requirements
- Hold 500 NPRO
- Commit for 1 year
Benefits
- Unlimited wallets
- Investor Info
- Premium human support
- Reduced swap fees (0.66%)
- 0% staking fees
Premium continues to offer the best NEAR Mobile experience while helping strengthen long-term alignment between active users and the NPRO ecosystem.
Existing Premium members keep their status
As a thank you to the users who supported NEAR Mobile early, all current Premium members will keep their existing requirements:
- 250 NPRO
- 1-month commitment
This grandfathered status remains active as long as Premium is maintained.
If a user leaves Premium and later decides to rejoin, the new requirements (500 NPRO for 1 year) will apply.
We believe rewarding early adopters is important, and this is our way of recognizing the users who trusted us from the beginning and helped NEAR Mobile reach where it is today.
What happens to Ambassador members?
The Ambassador tier will be retired.
Current Ambassador members will automatically transition to Basic while keeping the features that are now included for all users:
- Up to 2 wallets
- Investor Info access
Ambassador members will then have two options:
Option 1: Upgrade to Premium
Increase their commitment to meet the new Premium requirements and continue enjoying Premium benefits.
Option 2: Stay on Basic
Continue using NEAR Mobile for free and withdraw their previously committed NPRO if they prefer.
No action is required unless a member wants to upgrade to Premium.
A stronger Premium experience
One of the most appreciated Premium benefits has always been direct access to real human support.
By keeping Premium focused on long-term supporters, we'll be able to continue providing a high-quality and personalized support experience.
Our commitment remains unchanged:
Premium support will continue to be handled by real people, not AI bots.
Last chance to join under the current requirements
Users who wish to obtain Premium under the current conditions can still do so until July 20th.
Current requirements:
- 250 NPRO
- 1-month commitment
After July 6th, all new Premium memberships will follow the updated model:
- 500 NPRO
- 1-year commitment
